Our portfolio

What we do

Aula Energy was established to develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects across Australia and New Zealand. Our mission is to provide energy for the future.

Our current portfolio includes onshore wind projects and multi-technology projects where we combine wind or solar with on-site battery storage.

We’re here for the long-term. We’re responsible for the whole project lifecycle; from identifying and developing new projects to maintaining and managing operational assets. Throughout the process, we work in close collaboration with our many valued partners to create projects that are responsible, sustainable and safe.

We’re currently developing a project portfolio with a potential generating capacity of about 4 GW. That means once operational, our projects could provide renewable power to the equivalent of about 1.8 million homes.*

You can find out more about some of our projects below.

Boulder Creek Wind Farm, Queensland

We’re developing Boulder Creek Wind Farm in central Queensland. Boulder Creek is located 40 km southwest of Rockhampton and approximately 5 km west of Mount Morgan and has development approval for up to 60 turbines. Stage 1 of the project is expected to consist of 38 turbines with a generating capacity of 228 MW. When stage 1 is fully operational, which is targeted for 2026, it could power the equivalent of about 114,000 homes with renewable energy.*

The project has received approval from the relevant government bodies and we’ll continue to communicate with local communities and other stakeholders as the project progresses.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we’d like to acknowledge the Darumbal and Gaangalu Nations People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Boulder Creek Wind Farm is located.

Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm, South Australia

We have invested in South Australian-based business Georgetown Hills Renewable Energy to develop the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm and Battery.

Carmody’s Hill is located approximately 7 km east of the town of Georgetown in the Mid-North region of South Australia, around 180 km north of Adelaide. The project has development approval for up to 270 MW generating capacity from 45 wind turbines, with battery storage.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we’d like to acknowledge the Nukunu People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Carmody’s Hill Wind Farms sits.

Western Australia

We’ve partnered with Perth-based Green Wind Renewables to develop large-scale onshore wind farms totalling up to 2.4 GW in Western Australia. The projects are planned to be connected to the South-West Interconnected System (SWIS).

These projects are in the early stages of development, but as they progress we’ll be staying in touch with local communities and other stakeholders through a detailed consultation process.
